Yoga Fundamentals: 4 week series - IN PERSON with Celine Bonnier Begins January 8, 2025
Yoga Fundamentals is for beginning students new to yoga or the Iyengar lineage. It is also good for any yoga student who wants to build a stronger foundation for ongoing practice. In this class we will learn to activate our arms and legs, which are the limbs of action according to yoga philosophy. With the arm and leg work we can then better access the trunk and the spine.
We will study the shape of poses including standing and seated poses, twists, back extensions, abdominal poses and preparatory poses for inversions. You will also learn how to use the breath for more energy, how to strengthen and stretch various muscle groups, manage stress, and quiet the mind.
