Standing Forward Bend | Uttānāsana

What about practicing when you wait for your water to boil or for your dish to warm up in the microwave ?

1. Stand tall on your feet.

2. Generously bend your knees.

3. Rest your chest on your thighs.

4. Press your heels on the floor.

5. Lift your kneecaps.

And now comes the challenging part where you need to accept where you body is and trust that it is letting go with each of your exhalation... 

 

6. Point your seat bones up while closing the gap as much as possible between your chest and your thighs.

 

Yes, I hear you! You feel the stretch in your hamstrings! This means you are doing it right!

7. Breathe.

8. Relax your tongue.

9. Breathe.

10. Breathe. ☺️
